14. European and United Kingdom Visitors

Visitors in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom may have the rights described above and may lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority in the country where they live or work, or where they believe a violation occurred.

European supervisory authorities are listed by the European Data Protection Board. United Kingdom visitors may contact the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Because this is a small author website that does not conduct large-scale monitoring or large-scale processing of sensitive information, no data protection officer has been appointed.

15. California and Other U.S. State Privacy Rights

Jill Blake operates a small, low-revenue author website and does not currently expect to meet the revenue or data-processing thresholds that generally determine whether the California Consumer Privacy Act or comparable comprehensive state privacy laws apply.

Nevertheless, we will consider reasonable requests to access, correct, or delete personal information, subject to identity verification, technical feasibility, and applicable legal exceptions.

During the preceding 12 months, the website may have collected:

Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is no universally accepted standard for responding to every such signal, the website may not respond to traditional Do Not Track settings.

Where applicable law requires recognition of a legally valid opt-out preference signal, we and our service providers will process the signal as required.

Because we do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, an opt-out signal ordinarily should not alter the practices described in this Policy.

The website is intended for a general adult readership and is not directed to children under 13.

We do not request or intentionally collect sensitive personal information through the website.
